Demi-Servants
Elia
Analyzed as a female figure of the sun, Elia constantly wears an armor of gold, which perfectly reflects the sun's rays, blinding those who are unworthy of Sol, or who hold levels of taint which are inhumane. With wings made of pure white flame, these spread from her bright armor. Elia's domains under the Lord of Light would contain his purity, and his ever changing presences. Her fires are always flickering, and it is said that her wings will never appear exactly the same as they once were. It is Elia who Sol sends as a messenger to the mortals of the realm, providing messages between the two parties. Upon her descent, mortals have their hearts filled with ire and righteousness, ready to carry on Sol's wills.
Jenim
Jenim is most commonly represented in a fully cloaked attire made of oranges and browns, being a wanderer of the sands. This Demi-Servant has attendants which constantly follow on horseback, in-which he will preform attacks which surprise the wicked and push them from all corners of the realm into the shadows. Jenim is more commonly seen than Elia in times of Strife, commonly assisting those dedicated to the Sun God. His scimitar is made of pure flame which the Demi-Servant may not be burned by, striking fear into those who are unworthy.
Svarog
A largely unknown figure in the claims of Sol's realm, he appears not when asked but when needed most. More often than not Svarog takes the appearance of a young justicar with little to no experience in the battlefield. His words flow in cryptic structure and bellow with a furious passion which fills even the most meek and battle-weary with a righteous will. He offers the strength and willpower to fight even in the most hopeless of times to those who are truly worthy. Svarog seldom truly shows his divine presence let alone his divine form. To the rare few who are worthy to witness his true form, he takes shape of a radiant figure, armored in silver and gold with white tabbard with a single symbol etched in ever shifting fiery gold. He stands before only the worthy as a hardened warrior of faith, filling the lucky few with an undying wrath that makes up his own visage.
Mythos
The Pantheon itself was growing, as was their duties and symphonic demands that drew from the very nature of the realm and the mortals that lived upon it. Veltes demanded their morality and their organization- while Arvora and Morto handled the very mortality of the budding civilizations. Domm and Oklamat had sprung into existences as immortalized feelings and emotions, while the utter disgrace that was the Mistress of Chaos troubled both mortal and deity alike.
The Infinite and The Arcane set about to create a new deity, whose domains would rule the Heavens. The Sun, the Stars, and the Heavenly Bodies would all be immersed within the domain of this mighty deity, whose power rivaled that of the elder Three. While Vikret managed the creation of this new divine existence, the Balancekeeper aided in the well of power and authority from his own domains that would culminate in this entity. Yet- cloaked by her own, chaotic power, the Herald of Despair slipped into the very realm which Vikret tirelessly worked.
At the final instant, Foli unleashed her dark and malicious plan as the Heavenly deity was to spring into existence. Dividing them into almost pure equal parts, the Whisper fled Vikret's dominion as quickly as she had came. Wrought from her handiwork, spilled forth twin deities- a luminescent, overbearing male whose name would come to be Sol, and a quiet, shimmering female, whose name would come to be Ombra.
The radiant and ireful lord of light would hold a tense relation with his sibling Ombra. Immediately taking to the skies, Sol spread his light and warmth across the plane, giving fire and sustenance. The ever-looming ball in the sky provides light in what was once dark, Sol spreading his will of purity.
Sol's Doctrine
- The shrouded path ahead can only be illuminated by a righteous flame.
- Virtue is corrupted by wickedness - an irredeemable sin.
- By flame and cross, evil beings shalt find no solace within the realm of light.
Plane of Origin
Sol's realm is a plane of fire and light where there is no darkness and no room for shadows to be cast. Made of ever shifting golden flames where the world changes its shape on but a single whim. It is a world comprised and populated only of the blazing light of Sol's devout in eternal harmony amidst eternal light stemming from its center where Sol himself rests upon a throne of light. It is said that anyone still of mortal flesh who gazes upon this realm finds themselves permanently blinded by the collective glory of all within.
Ideal Realm
Sol and his followers will not stand for vile and roaming beings - ones that threaten the sanctity of the world itself. The shadow's maw holds no value in a realm led by the brightest torch and the strongest swinging arm. A world of endless rolling hills accompanied by nothing but the gleaming sun is a dream for this god - it's a fantasy far from his scorching gaze, yet close.
Celebration
The Summer Solstice
The summer solstice is often celebrated by followers of Sol as a holy day where the light of their god and lord shines both the brightest and the longest. It is known to different Sol followers by countless names and traditions, although it is celebrated by them all universally in turn.
Relations
- Respects the Eldest of the pantheon.
- Holds a platonic respect, yet bittersweet understanding with Ombra.
- Foli is believed to be the manifest of evil.
- The others are neutral.
Myths and Speculation
- Sol holds a grudge with his twin sister, as he finds her ways detestable, but her shadows necessary to differentiate his light, admittedly giving him purpose.
