Galares

Galares has been serving Arvora faithfully since the day it was created. Originally handling many complex roles for the goddess, it now resides as one of the most powerful Demi-Servants known to mortal minds. Showing itself to us as a gentle green wisp, Galares means no harmful intrusion to the mortal realm while it complies with its tasks, and normally evades larger population centers for the sake of not wanting to cause unneeded distress. Though its true visage is shrouded in mystery, its intention is most certainly not. Galares upholds its duties of the Hunt and Nature with unending pride, ensuring that no matter what occurs, the balance of nature always remains true.

Iris

Twin sister to the Demi-Servant Erika, Iris has carried a very strange life. Slumbering for extreme amounts of time, and going through many stages of strife, the being has changed both appearance and personality many times over, until it finally met a strange fate of obscurity, as her souls whereabouts are currently unknown. Her body, however, has been... transformed. A being named Obedear has taken control of the Demi-Servant's body with the assistance of Erika, ensuring that her twin sisters legacy lives on, working her days in the very tree she was secluded in.

Mythos

Across the veil of eternal black, the two deities stood watch. It was unknown how many eons had passed, and in a way, the Eternal had stopped counting. Their two persons ever watchful, practicing, learning, growing.

Yet, inevitably, the darkness soon returned. When Vassas and Vikret were apart from one another, the singular loneliness returned with a blow from everywhere at once. Sadness, despair, and a loss of will were such symptoms that afflicted them in the eternal darkness of the void.

For a time, they returned to one another, discussing and deciding that something must be done. They tried, the twain elders of the budding Pantheon, yet they could truly never master the creation of some smaller life than themselves. It was then, that the Lady of Arcana suggested a fateful move. Creation of another just like them.

Her elder brother agreed, and they removed from themselves a portion of their beings. These two halves, of vastly different yet similar existences, were forged into one, as the Continuum and Arcane breathed life into its lungs.

It was beautiful, their singular commentary resonated. Such, the creation of a being so different, yet so powerful. Thus, sprung into being by their sacrifice was the Goddess of Life, Arvora. Her charge and mantle was a great one, yet not a burden she could not bear. "Populate the inky void with your creations, and keep their kind from the tumultuous veil. Allow their hearts and souls to rumble forth amidst times of joy and fortitude. Allow their spirits to feel sorrow, as ours have for so long uncounted."

Arvora's Doctrine

  • Never be wasteful; only use what is needed.
  • Thou shalt care for all living things, big and small.
  • Everyone is redeemable, no matter what they have done.

Plane of Origin

The Fey Wilds

The Fey Wilds is the realm where the blessing of life was first created. What was once just a single strand of grass quickly became a world bustling with life and some of the most beautiful creations ever known to exist, every living thing possessing an artistic uniqueness to them. Life was Arvora's paint, and the world was her never ending canvas. Countless trees stand proud and tall, reaching up to brush the sky and spread their green to the sea of blue. Some trees have thick brown trunks, in which sacred alcoves are delicately crafted for Arvora's creations to settle within. Countless beasts, both Carnivorous and not roam throughout the world hunting and surviving off the land. But yet death does not exist in the same sense as in the mortal world-not long after their falling, they become anew, reborn into the world to live once more in paradise.

As the seasons change, the colors do as well, from shades of green to yellows, oranges, and reds. When the weather is cold, the world drifts off to a peaceful slumber, Arvora's creations cuddling together in preparation of hibernation. During warmer weather, animals squeak, chitter, and chirp, bringing to life Arvora's music. Flowers sprout and blossom, giving the world shades of pink, purple, and white. Every petal is delicate and elegant, each part of the flower a masterpiece of the larger creation. Upon the petals are dewdrops scattered, glassy orbs like gemstone globes reflecting the rainbows of the world.

This place is the Oasis of all life. Within the center lies a massive tree, many times larger than the one upon Aversia. It is considered the root of all life, and is the home of Arvora herself. The life energies that radiate from it transfer to countless planes of existence, granting them the very breath of creation, and the ability to sustain themselves for the cycles to come.

Ideal Realm

The ideal realm of Arvora is one full of life. There is no death, as countless animals and mortals live inside a smothering forest that covers the surface of her entire world.

Celebration

Gaiasept

Gaiasept is one of the most notable holidays to all Arvora followers across Aversia. This sept is symbolic specifically for the gift that was granted to the universe, as Arvora made her very first creation and blessed it with the miracle of life. Those who celebrate Gaiasept often spend the entirety of their time outdoors, seeking to create a better connection with nature and Arvora's earlier creations through the admiration and assistance to their natural beauty. During this sept, it is customary for Arvora followers to practice a vegetarian diet and cease all consumption of meat. The faithful will work diligently to replant all harvests used for food during the sept, and assist new life to begin blooming. It is also tradition for Arvora followers to gather at the Spirit Tree during this sept and plant either a tree, sapling or flower around the massive superstructure as a memento of generations to the past, and for the future.

Gaiasept is a holiday of peace in which all forms of violence should be avoided. This sept is representative of appreciation for the Lady of Life and the many blessings she has brought to the world. It is a time to give back to Arvora and cherish even her more 'simple' creations for the sake of prolonging the eternal cycle of life and joy.

Relations

  • Holds a gentle companionship with Vikret and Vassas.
  • Holds a solemn, but ultimately hateful understanding with the god of death.
  • Holds a subtle appreciation towards Domm.
  • And is somewhat Motherly toward all other members of the Pantheon.

Myths and Speculation

  • Legend carries that Arvora may have a much closer relationship with Domm than history likes to tell.
  • Rumor has it that the Spirit tree itself is actually one massive parasite, slowly consuming the life energies of the planet.
