Description

Across the coasts of Aversia, and meddling within the seas lie patches of Callaglobe. Small globular bulbs, which sprout from the ocean’s sands - presenting a vibrant, translucent bulb. This small bulb is green in texture, and rests above the kelp like leaves of its sprout - which seems similar to that of a sea cabbage. The Callaglobe’s iconic bulb is composed from a translucent veil, which is soft and gentle to the touch. When pressed against - this bulb will seem to accept, and encapsulate what has entered its bulb. Inside of the globular Callaglobe is a liquid, which seems slightly viscous. As well, the eye catching bulb of the Callaglobe will provide a faint luminescence, which may be seen through the shallow waters where they grow.

Sea creatures will come to rest inside of these globes, as they provide protection from harsher currents, and stormy seas. When storms pass over, and much of a reef or kelp forest may be disturbed and broken - the strong roots of the Callaglobe will remain in place. And, unlike the currents that may surround such, the viscous liquid within the Callaglobe will always remain still.

Voyagers upon long journeys will often verge to shallow waters, in search for these globular bulbs as they provide a vital source of sustenance. The leaves from beneath the bulbs may be taken, and pressed for the oil within. Spreading this oil across their skin, or upon their food will feed a sailor from starvation, and further.

Syrien often collect and cultivate the Callaglobe for the purposes of food, shelter, and even complexion. Many fortunate Syrien will grow the Callaglobe within their homes, or within land nearby - and move through the veil of the bulb to rest inside of them. They are able to breathe in this bulb alike the water surrounding it, and rest in such. As it is said that resting within a Callaglobe is a rewarding and rejuvenating experience, and provides excellent care for hygiene and youthful skin.

Location

The Callaglobe will grow in shallow coasts, and often come to pair with Kelp Forests or Reef and are considered rare.

Development

The Callaglobe will begin as a small sprout, which after [1 OOC week] will form a small globe. The Callaglobe will reach full maturity after [1 OOC month]. In this time, it will create a bulb about 1 meter in diameter and 2.5 meters in height.

Material Properties

• The translucent veil of the Callaglobe bulb may be harvested and tailored into containers or small bags that may be used to transport items. These containers are water tight, but may still be reached by any point - as a hand may be pushed through the bulb’s veil even after harvest.

Alchemical Properties

• The viscous ooze from the interior of the bulb may grant other alchemicals it is brewed with the ability to be absorbed through the skin instead of ingested or injected.
