Elygem

Description

Formations of Elygem are found in the underground, spawned by extreme contrasts in heat. These include beneath hot springs in cold climates, below oases in the savannah and desert, and bubbling up from northern volcanoes. Elygem veins are always found trapped within precious or semi-precious stones, such as amethyst or quartz.

Color

Elygem can come in a variety of colors dependent on what gemstone it grew from.

• Primary Uses: Rings, bracelets, lights, catalysts.

Special

• This metal is relatively weak for most weaponry or armored purposes.
• Containers of this metal will maintain the temperature of liquids inside of it.
• Objects of this metal are very weak, and may be punctured, bent, or broken with relative ease.
• Elygem cannot retain an edge, and will significantly warp if a force acts upon it.
• Due to its unique nature of being mostly gemstone, and not truly a metal, Elygem can be used as a magical catalyst as a primary component which contains one chromatic slot and one discipline slot dependent on the gemstone it is related from. The drawback, however, is that it cannot posses an additive.
