Magu is the only form of Vaya lord to have been descended from a living mortal, thus granting him very human-like characteristics that are still known today. He is often depicted as wearing tribal-like clothing with an adornment of plant life growing out of his clothes and swirling around him in a benevolent appearing manner. This is a reminasant appearance from when he was a shaman underneath Aisha herself, often causing the opposing Vayalord to be uncomfortable when seeing him. Though he often comes draped in a cloak of leaves and plant-life, the underside of which leaks out shadows, twirling around the lower half of his form. He is often known to wrap his cloak around his torso in a manner one would to protect from the cold, causing his more bright and colorful appearance to be draped in shadows and darken into a more malevolent appearance, the plant-life decaying and becoming withered. When he wraps his cloak around himself like this, his normally sharp features will sink in and his skin becomes paler more akin to a ghost.

His eyes are depicted as being twisted and scheming, yet in color they’re a soothing forest green. Magu’s hair is depicted almost universally as being a lighter color due to exposure of the sun, often shifting between light browns to blondes. His skin is tanned and is reminiscent of someone who used to spend their days outside surrounded by nature. Magu will almost always make himself look so similar to an Aisha shaman in order to attempt to deceive otherworldly entities or people he meets into thinking that he is something else. He will often carry around a wooden staff that is adorned with unorderly amounts of shaman-like runes and plant life that will change from living to dead depending on his mood. The top-end of his staff is dark and obscured in shadow, appearing almost withered. It’s believed that those who come in contact with Magu’s staff will immediately go mad and lose all sense of self.

The top-end of his staff is dark and obscured in shadow, appearing almost withered. It’s believed that those who come in contact with Magu’s staff will immediately go mad and lose all sense of self.

Origin

Magu is a strange case in terms of Vaya Lords, as he himself was not born into the Vaya, but rather created to be one as he filled a spot the others did not. He was a normal shaman of Aisha in the beginning, attuning himself with the elements. In the early tribal forms of life he was good friends with the chief, well-known and regarded for his abilities and seen in a high light. Magu himself however wanted more, he always craved power, though he must be subtle in order to make it seem virtuous and benevolent. Though when a neighboring tribe stormed and conquered his own, he saw this as an opportunity. Working slyly behind everyone's backs, he sought to liberate his tribe from this oppression. To him, he was doing good for his people even if this may not be how all of them perceived it.

Magu was able to free his people from the oppression with his sharp intellect by manipulating the other tribe’s dictator, however this was eventually found out and he was executed for seemingly taking control of his free will. Upon Magu’s death, he was brought up to the other Vaya, and with his cunning and deceptive wit he managed to trick the other Vaya into allowing him to become one of them. He was deemed worthy enough to become a Vaya, as he in specific offered something that the other Vaya did not. He is not inherently “evil”, but rather does things and encourages his shaman to do things that are necessary.

Magu's Doctrine

  • Take the path that will bring you the highest, and even at the peak, do not stop.
  • Cut down those who would become too strong without purpose.

Plane of Origin

Loquiti is a realm made purely out of the faults of man-kind and everything chaotic in the world. Every bad trait a man or woman could have is manifested into physical forms in this place. The visual plane of Loquiti is unknown, as it changes to everyone who enters it yet it is often described as some form of party. Description

Ismaat exists as a shadow in the realm of Loquiti, rarely seen by the spirits he watches over. Only his creator may claim the title as one more deceitful and chaotic than the creature of discord. When appearing before the men and women of the world, Ismaat will often take the form of one himself, eagerly wishing to know how it could feel to understand one’s own mortality, to feel as if he could end at any moment. He is left wanting every time, and thus he feels a slight resentment for the inhabitants he must urge to follow his creator’s will.

Relations with Mortals

Being jealous of the many fleeting feelings and experiences mortals get to endure and enjoy, Ismaat is often looking for ways to hinder those he guides. It is both a way to help understand the creature his creator once was while also getting to test their loyalty to his master.

Relations with the Vaya

Ismaat is rarely looked upon in a positive light, mostly due to the fact that he is not often thought to deserve the title as being primordial. However, his uncaring attitude for anything but his creator and mortality makes him a more voluntary outcast among the other great beings of the world.
