Description

Aaog exists as the scorching flames all throughout Aethius, from the smallest flickering of a flame to the explosive, unbearable heat of the many volcanoes all over the world. This is part of how Aaog represents the inherent passion of flames, displaying the capability to singe, warm, scald, soothe, and more. Further being the personification of fire, Aaog has carved his own path ever since he was first created. Unlike Vuona, who follows the path of least resistance, Aaog destroys what exists on his path, spreading in all directions. This is why the Fireborne, and the spirits from his realm, are often seen as crueler beings amongst the rest of the Vaya.

Origin

His origin came long ago. In fact, Aaog is the oldest Vaya of all. Being the elemental of fire, he was around before life was, when the world was nothing but molten and flames, and before everything cooled down. He was thriving, everywhere, and with power unimaginable, but without purpose. He had nothing to use this power on, and he had no reason to, but this all changed when the first aspects of life appeared, Thairr was brought into the world by forces that he did not know. With his power having shrunk greatly, he himself had humbled and cooled down with the world. The other Vaya had been born, and he had become one of the other few that arrived. He would stand to make sure that those who would wield such power would be able to withstand the extreme heat that came with it, to make sure that only the brave and bold would stand, cutting away from the weak and cowardly. With the birth of new Vaya however, he met Vuona. Aaog himself has a deeply rooted hatred for her, and yet despite this hatred for her very being as it counters his own, Aaog still respects her opinions and her place within the Vaya and her trial.

Plane of Origin

Tletuego

Tletuego is a chaotic plane, one where nothing truly remains the same for any given moment. Flames swirl, fueled by the magical Spirits that roam the lands, rivers of molten rock flow freely, mountains form in the lower intensity periods of the plane only to slowly melt back down into the gigantic furnace that is the realm. Nothing lives that is not fire, and fire burns everything still. No one has ever survived or documented this realm of pure heat and molten rock.

Titan of Fire

Description

The first Vaya’s initial creation, the being of flame with a shred of Aaog’s power, Tantetheon was a raging inferno refusing to cool at Orono’s gust. As Aaog’s power dwindled and he came to terms with the reality of the world, his firstborn acted against his newly humbled creator. This was seen as an excessively aggressive act, but even a lesser being could not be so easily snuffed out. Tantetheon was removed from the surface of the world, sent into deepest depths where Thairr would work in tandem with Aaog, chaining the Titan in a still ever-growing core of molten stone and metal.

Relations with Mortals

Tantetheon has no way to present his true self to mortals, for he would incinerate them with even a single gaze, so he’ll often perform his duties by using living tongues of flame to reach out to shamans who have not embodied the ferocity and passion of Aaog to Tantetheon’s liking. He is a remorseful guide, using scorching lashes and branding spits of fire to correct misdeeds and shamans left astray.

Relations with the Vaya

Tantetheon is feared by much of the Vaya, being the last living reminder of Aaog’s truly overwhelming strength and capability of destruction. He opposes all of the Vaya’s Primordial Titans except Aethecias, who steals the smallest glances at the Titan when traveling at the speed of light. She pities him, being one of the only of the Vaya and their Titans who truly understands how utterly unable he is to cool even the slightest bit.
