Aevirius
From Aethier
Aevirius is a tricky metal-like substance. Found where particularly rare metals are, it can be easily camouflage as other ores within an area. Because of this, it is sometimes said in legend that it is a greedy miner's curse as the Aevirius attaches to their flesh. The metal is mostly harmless and acts as a slow-growing parasite almost. Once embedded, Aevirius will slowly overtake its host, killing them in the process as the metal slowly changes their flesh and tissue into a living metal. The origin and use this metal hold are unknown, but some are said to have found symbiosis with the metal after experimentation, leaving them less vulnerable to attacks but more prone to other issues.
