Voidsteel

From Aethier

Voidsteel is a corrupt metal that naturally poisons the earth where it lays. Found only when a tear in the veil is too close or inside of the void, the aftereffects of the corruption that it radiates causes the metal to unnaturally assimilate the local ore into its new form. While this process is rather quick-the prospect of a "Void Tear" is so unbelievably low that the metal is only hinted at in legend. Known for its extreme effectiveness against holy beings and materials, Voidsteel is the ultimate tool for destroying those who have been blessed by the gods, and the weapons and armor consecrated by their blessed.

  • Malleability: Low.
  • Magnetic: No.
  • Conductivity of Heat: Average.
  • Primary Uses: Weapons.

Special

  • Voidsteel poisons those it comes into contact with, and carries the same poison that metals from the void carry. Any open wounds they create are tainted with a void poison that spreads throughout the body quite quickly, and over the course of 5 OOC days their bodies atrophy, until their heart becomes too weak to function like the rest of their body, and leads to death. This cannot be healed with divinity or magic, and requires cleansing through alchemical means of powerful antivenom.
  • The metal glows a deep black when near a blessed or blessed object.
  • When wielded by a fallen, the metal grows in strength, allowing it to emit shadow strikes of blackened energy that act like sword strikes or stabs when swung up to 2m in front of them. Instead of slashing or stabbing wounds, these strikes induce necrosis, but are blocked by metal.
