For the longest time, it seemed as though the Vaya had finished with Magu. This, of course, ended up not being the case as, way down the line, there came the rare Ghatha spirits. They were an anomaly to the existing Vaya, seeing them as odd instances of the world creating more where more could simply be added. Little more was thought of them for a time, at least until, after shamans had begun to bond with these elusive spirits, there came down from the space above the otherworldly Hel’Astraiea.

Hel’Astraiea descended upon the separate realms of the Vaya all at once, appearing in every single one to announce their presence at the same time. Each form that appeared before the Vaya was completely different and tailored to incorporate portions of each realm. However, after this sudden appearance, Hel’Astraiea stepped down into the world of Aethius that, while somewhat humanoid in appearance, held an incredibly unnatural visage. A mouth and nose were joined by an eclipsed moon where the eyes and forehead would be, and inhumanely long tendrils like hair that glowed all manners of golds and silvers obscured the entirety of what legs they may or may not have. A bare torso devoid of all details held silk-like skin over a seemingly female form, though the sharper features of their muscles alluded to being male as well. Long, lanky arms were in the form of feathered wings they used to reach the ground so easily, which they spread outwards as they gave the commanding call, demanding all celestial spirits, in the open or still hidden from mortals, to come and address their Celestial Vayalord.

Origin

Having been created long before any of the Vaya, Hel’Astraiea has existed as long as the sun has. They walked the surface of it for the longest time, wandering in an endless march with but their own lone mind. There would come a time that the moon would be formed, this massive structure around the world of Aethius. Hel’Astraiea gazed upon both, laying claim to the moon as their own stretch of eternity, but kept themselves from the world where all life had begun to be created through Aisha’s will. They watched the circle of life begin and end constantly, coming to later realize that shreds of their own power had seeped out and manifested in the form of miniscule spirits on Thairr’s earth just as lonesome as the eternal being themselves. After enough waiting, Hel’Astraiea finally decided enough was enough; it was time to make the world known of their presence. Like a meteor, they landed with a bang, stunning all with the brilliance of the sun and the mysteriousness of the moon.

Hel’Astraiea's Doctrine

  • Be not ashamed of your oddities; embrace them and find your true self within.
  • In the endless expanse, there is no need for balance, order, or chaos; only existence matters.

Plane of Origin

The Veil

The Veil includes a plane of intense magic bridging infinite realms together through glowing highways used by the Divine, though being infinitely expansive, there exist foreign beings and creatures outside of those paved paths where beings such as Hel’Astraiea exist. Just like on Aethius, the Celestial Vaya is avoided and seen as an outsider amongst those higher beings who may have caught sight of them in the past. This being of the Vaya exists normally atop the sun, the moon, or somewhere in the middle using no such manufactured roads, but instead just propelling themselves through space with their own celestial powers.

Relations

  • Completely ostracized by all Vaya.
  • Is avoided as much as they are feared.

Primordial Titan

Khepelika

(Kehp-ell-ih-kah)

The Celestial Titan

Description

Needing a much more presentable form to show their subservient spirits and shamans, Hel’Astraiea pulled together a mixture of the sun’s grace and the moon’s mystical powers and molded a creature that would carry out their duties as the sole Celestial Primordial Titan, naming her Khepelika. Khepelika holds all the finest details of both sides, sun and moon, occupying the seemingly mortal form of a satyr. She has four forms, shifting between them depending on the time of day, which include her dawn, day, dusk, and night visages. Regardless of the time of day, she has two large horns with fawn ears, legs, and spotted fur upon various parts of her body. She wears just a cloak of starry light that covers her torso and waist, and her horns also glow either a brilliant gold, a pale silver, or a mix of the two depending on the time of day.

Relations with Mortals

Khepelika is incredibly kind and inclusive when it comes to those she’s tasked to speak to and guide. She has both passionate and motherly love for celestial shamans, often sharing stories with them concerning the Veil, the Celestial Vaya, and all else that is. Although bound to Aethius, she was born with much of Hel’Astraiea’s knowledge, so she uses that and what she learns amongst the mortals to form a wisdom all her own she uses to guide with. When required to discipline, she explains misdeeds or things that need corrected at a very basic level, understanding that mortals can’t comprehend the broadest picture of one born of the sun and moon.

Relations with the Vaya

Khepelika, when she first set down on Aethius, was looked upon with disgust and lingering fear. The Vaya and their Titans saw her at first as a way for Hel’Astraiea to ruin the natural balance, though as time would go on, they’d begin to see how both the Veil and Aethius blended in her mind to create an all-encompassing figure. Although still typically avoided, some fellow Titans have ventured to meet Khepelika, always stunned by her mystifying allure and clear humanity, leaving such higher beings absolutely amazed by something a completely foreign alien could have created.
