Minotaurs

Minotaurs are brutish creatures, standing at an average height of 10 feet and wielding weapons of powerful magnitude. They bear cloven hooves and stand much like a human would; their most identifying characteristic is a humanoid body with a bullish head. Their fur is thick and warm, roughening in winter climates and shedding in intense heat; as a result, minotaurs are found in any climate, be it in camps in frozen tundras or dredging through the desert.

A minotaur's strong legs allows it to charge up to ten meters at a time and complete an action, such as swinging their blade or tackling a foe. They possess strengths even above orcs and are bullish in nature; their charge is deadly, and if caught between the horns, their foe is sure to suffer impalement and eventually death. The minotaur's stocky build offers a human nature to it; they owe their combative prowess to their highly aggressive nature, and will attack anything subjectively deemed a threat. Attacking lost travelers is the most common way a minotaur practices and gains their weaponry.

Typically, minotaurs will find homes in any terrain. It isn't uncommon to find camps of minotaurs in the snow or nomadic tribes traveling in the heat.

Distribution

Minotaurs are rarely found alone; they will almost always form bands for their own protection and survival. There is no chief of a camp, and instead the group makes decisions based on their situation. As a result, these beasts are considered rare, even if there may be hundreds or thousands in one place.

Habitat

Should these creatures find a safe and comfortable home, they will settle down. As a result, woodlands, jungles, and islands are common homes for the minotaurs. They can construct their own villages, meaning that they can create a sizeable force. A minotaur's fur will grow or shed depending on the climate.

Diet

Minotaurs are typically carnivores, but can be omnivores as well. They can hunt for themselves and forage for food. These beasts have immense diets, complimenting their haughty structure.

Relations

Any sentient being would be wise to stray from minotaurs; upon sight, they will pursue their target for hours on end, unwilling to end the chase. There is no sense of honor or dishonor, but instead a need to protect their home and any potential dangers surrounding it.

  • Unwilling to end chases unless their life is absolutely endangered.
  • Creates bands of minotaurs; it is extremely rare to find one alone.
